I learned to cook the modern way - buying too many cookbooks, dabbling occasionally, cooking here and there whenever I wanted to either recreate a tasty treat or make a really big effort for a loved one. But my real cooking journey began more seriously during the pandemic which unlocked a new layer of responsibility in millennial adulthood: whole, hot, semi-nutritious meals three times a day! A terrifying prospect indeed. [I know that sounds more than a little bit ridiculous :) but after building a successful finance career at a global tech company that caters breakfast, lunch and dinner for its workforce, I simply felt out of practice in my own kitchen.]

On top of this, I became a mother at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic to a darling daughter. Suddenly, nutrition, balance and meal planning became extremely important topics to me — Something I knew I had to get right. I have been refining cooking and baking methods, techniques and recipes myself for my family ever since! And my love for fresh food cooked beautifully has just grown and grown.

And so after one deep breath, I left a 12-year career in Tech Finance behind to focus full-time on fresh, naturally delicious food. But I am still a working mom! My focus has shifted and I couldn't be happier. My hope here is that you will find foodie inspiration from my experience and food journey as a wife, mother, and friend.
